EWO Co-op Student of the Year 2010


Liane250The EWO 2010 Co-op Student of the Year Committee is pleased to announce that Liane Langstaff, a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sciences Co-op student at the University of Guelph, has been selected as the winner of the 2010 Co-op Student of the Year Award in the University category.Liane’s contributions to the food technology field through her work at the Guelph Food Technology Centre, are without question second to none for an undergraduate university co-op student. Her role as a Sustainability Consulting Student afforded her the opportunity to aide clients in integrating sustainability into their operations. Through her high productivity and “zest for learning”,Liane was a valued member of her team. The scope of Liane’s contributions is also evident through her leadership as a senior co-op student and ambassador for co-operative education. 

Liane received a certificate and cheque for $500 during ceremonies held at the University of Guelph, during National Co-op Week, March 21st – 25th. Congratulations Liane! Our Committee wishes to thank all of the nominees and their supporting employers and institutions for their participation.
